ICE NEWS & EVENTS

January 2017. ICE donates to Army UH-1C Huey Gunship Restoration Effort. The Army Aviation Heritage Foundation (AAHF) has begun to restore an Army UH-1C Huey Gunship with complete armament systems (demilitarized) including 40mm, twin mini guns, rocket pods, and twin M60 machine guns.  Inter-Coastal Electronics has donated an indoor space to the organization for this effort. The restored static aircraft will be displayed at the Commemorative Air Force (CAF) Museum in Mesa, Arizona to support Army Aviation history, and to help Vietnam Veterans to better relate their Vietnam experiences. The CAF does not have a Huey or Cobra in the entire organization. At this stage, the external panels, doors, seats, rotors, and most of the instrumentation has been removed. The next step is to thoroughly clean the aircraft and prepare for painting.
